The International Advertising Association believes that when government, NGOs, and industry collaborate, we can create a better regulatory environment that not only protects consumers, but that allows businesses to thrive. The IAA also believes that, in this rapidly changing environment, it is essential marketers have the up-to-date information they need to be able to comply with the myriad of laws and regulations governing advertising and marketing around the world.
In order to foster collaboration among stakeholders, and to help ensure that marketers have the information they need to advertise and market legally, IAA’s Public Policy Council is engaged in several key initiatives:
- Conducting programs on important and emerging advertising law issues.
- Publishing educational resources to help marketers comply with the relevant rules.
- Issuing best practices.
- Advocating for smarter regulation.
- Encouraging and facilitating an open dialogue between government, NGOs, and industry.
