Amsterdam, March 25, 2024 – The International Advertising Association (IAA) proudly announces the official opening of its Benelux Chapter in Amsterdam. The inauguration ceremony, held on March 22nd, marked a significant milestone for the advertising industry within the Benelux region, bringing together key stakeholders and industry leaders to champion creativity, innovation, and advocacy.
Led by a dynamic team of founders, including Alessandra Rossi as President, Stephanie Manning as Chapter Vice President and Executive Director, and Julia van der Veen as Secretary, the establishment of the Benelux Chapter underscores the IAA’s commitment to fostering international collaboration and elevating the region’s influence in the global advertising landscape, particularly at a public policy level.
“We are thrilled to launch the Benelux Chapter of the International Advertising Association,” said Alessandra Rossi, President of the Benelux Chapter and Product & Strategy Leader at Nielsen. “Our mission is to unite internationally minded individuals and companies across Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg, to showcase the rich creativity, innovation and advocacy this region has to offer.”
The IAA Benelux Chapter aims to build upon the legacy of the association’s previous presence in the Netherlands, revitalizing its efforts with a renewed focus on innovation and public policy for internationally minded individuals and organizations. By leveraging the collective expertise and resources of its members, the chapter seeks to promote industry best practices, particularly in the field of innovation, policy and AI, drive thought leadership, and advocate for the advancement and ethical practices of advertising and marketing disciplines.
Julia van der Veen, Secretary of the Benelux Chapter and Attorney at De Roos, emphasized the significance of the chapter’s strategic positioning within the Benelux region, stating, “Our proximity to Brussels provides a unique opportunity to influence public policy and advocacy initiatives that directly impact the advertising industry. We are committed to fostering dialogue and collaboration with policymakers to ensure a favorable and ethical regulatory environment for our members.”
